As early as 1970, GWS med was the first company in India to produce surgical blades. Today, we manufacture a wide range of products under the Surgeon and Kiato brands, as well as OEM brands, that are revered by the best surgeons, dentists, and even the most discriminating industrial consumers.
The All India Institute of Medical Science in New Delhi, the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, and the Apollo group of hospitals, to name a few, today gladly bear testimony to our blades, as do the numerous awards we have received for excellence in various fields.
Despite this, we have not only built a formidable presence in the domestic market, but also a formidable presence in the international market. There has been no turning back since the first Export order from Becton Dickinson in 1975. More than half of the total production is now exported to different parts of the world.
Surgical blades
The following sizes of surgical blades are available: 10, 10, 10A, 11, 11R, 12, 15, 15D, 18, 20, 21, 22, 22A, 23, 24, 25, and 36. They are single-packed in peel-open pouches with a VCI protective inner liner and are made of either carbon steel or stainless steel (sterile or non-sterile). A unit carton contains a convenient number of individual pouches. GAMMA RADIATION sterilizes surgical blades in accordance with EN ISO 11137-1:2015 and EN ISO 11137-2:2015.
Disposable scalpels
A surgical blade is fixed to a plastic handle on disposable scalpels. Scalpels were created with your protection in mind. The blade is protected by a clear plastic guard. This protects the edge, prevents packaging damage, and allows for proper disposal after use. Gamma radiation is used to sterilize disposable scalpels. Individually packaged disposable scalpels are delivered in boxes of ten. We can also have bulk orders as carbon steel surgical blades.
Mini Scalpel
A miniature scalpel is made up of a thin plastic handle and a surgical blade made of stainless steel in sizes 10, 11, or 15. The blade is protected by a clear plastic guard. This protects the edge, prevents packaging damage, and allows for proper disposal after use. Mini scalpels are perfect for a variety of kits. Mini scalpels are available in bulk packs of 100 scalpels.
Stitch cutter
The standard sterile disposable stitch cutter is made of surgical Swiss Carbon steel and does not need a handle to use. To avoid skin punctures, the stitch cutter has a rounded point, making it suitable for removing small stitches. Stitch cutters are sold individually foil wrapped in GAMMA sterile boxes with a secure VCI liner. The stitch cutter is CE labeled and completely compliant with the European Medical Device Directive. GAMMA radiation is used to sterilize products to a minimum dose of 2.5 M Rad. To perform sterility checks, samples are taken from each LOT sent for sterilization.
Hobby blades
We are one of the world's leading manufacturers of surgical blades. We have nearly five decades of experience manufacturing the best surgical blades to offer you a line of blades that are perfect for Hobby, Home, and Industry. Hobby blades are made with the same care, accuracy, and attention to detail as the rest of the line. All of our blades are compatible with any normal handle. We pursue a well-defined Quality Assurance Program as an ISO 13485 / ISO 9001 registered company, which is why we have long been recognized as the Smart Option for sharp Blades.
Industrial blades
We are proud that many industries choose our surgical blades for a variety of industrial applications, including slitting films, plastic, rubber, and a variety of other applications, including tissue culture. Despite the fact that the application is not for surgical use, the necessity is important since a bad quality blade results in more downtime, which means less efficiency.

They boost their market potential by providing greater value for money to their consumers by adding these goods to their list. Superior product quality leads to a better reputation while avoiding growth and manufacturing costs.
